vOLUNTEER WITH US

At Child & Family Center, diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging are at the core of our mission

Volunteer Opportunities

Child & Family Center volunteers enjoy supporting our programs and services by volunteering at our special events, sorting and organizing donations, supporting the work in our Domestic Violence Program, help with holiday gift giving, and administrative tasks in office.

Volunteer FAQs

Individuals, families, community and corporate groups can volunteer at Child & Family Center. The minimum age for on-site volunteers is 18. With parental permission, younger volunteers can help with certain fundraising events.

Office volunteer activities are Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm. Event and seasonal activities may be weekend or evening hours.

Sign up by completing our volunteer application. In the office, volunteers must complete an application for a background check through the Department of Justice, TB test, and attend an orientation.

Those who volunteer with our Domestic Violence Program are required by the state of California to complete an additional 40-hour training.
